All the King's horses and all the King's men....

It always gets worse before it gets better. Sometimes you need to be subject to such lows, so we can truly appreciate the highs.

The biggest problems (in my opinion) are:

A. Who is out there? (Please don't say Mrs. Palin)

B. Who in their right mind would want the job???

C. How much more BS entitlement legislation will be rammed down our throats before November?

I'm entitled 2 go 2 work & pay my taxes & my bills & accept the responsibility of "NOT"!!!!:boxing_smiley::(

I just hope that whoever comes next understands the following simple facts:

-A trillion dollars is much more than the difference between a million and a billion.
-A trillion dollars has 12 zeros. (1,000,000,000,000)
-A trillion dollars is enough to buy every home foreclosed in 2007 and 2008.
-If you spent a million dollars every day since Jesus was born you would still have a quarter of a million millions left to get to a trillion.

The US federal government spends about a trillion dollars per quarter. :(

Maybe we need less government, fewer paid representatives, fewer programs and fewer hand outs.

A. Paul Ryan (from what I've seen so far)

B. Good question

C. The more they try the more likely they will be voted out.

Regarding the national security issue when you consider Obama/Biden vs Bush/Cheney there was no doubt you wouldn't want to mess with Cheney and Bush made the tough decisions. Regardless of what people thought about certain policy they made them feel safe...just an persona of "don't fvck w/us". Biden is a goofball and Obama is a puzzy liberal. Plenty of proof now that this nice guy global policy gets you nowhere...what has Obama accomploished in that regard? Has Iran or N Korea rolled over...not. If anything they've become more aggressive.

I saw the Rove interview last night and they played a clip of some of the speeches justifying going into Irag, featuring Hillary, Kerry, Dodd. The overwhelming majority of Dems favored it then morphed back into spinless hypocrits when the war fell out of favor and all they could do was level unrelenting criticism at Bush. Now that Obama is President its amazing how he has embraced "the Surge" approach; something he had a hard time even admitting worked in Iraq. This administration is spineless and the only thing they are focused on is their socialist agenda...it will do nothing but get them thrown out of office...then maybe we can focus on the real tasks at hand; the economy and nat'l security.

I received this a few days ago.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

Life in the fact free zone...
you right wingers just luvs you someone you can point to and say, "uh huh, I tol' you so." :ack2:

C'mon Ted, the Washington Times for freak's sakes??? :ack2:

Take the first paragraph of the piece... it bases everything on two suppositions that are BOTH 180 degrees from reality:

A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than it was two years ago and think President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security, a new poll finds.

Just because a 'majority of Americans say' something DOES NOT MAKE IT FACT.

The fact is that most of the rest of the planet is fairly ecstatic that we elected Barack Obama. :seeya:

What would wingnuts do without the 'National Security' mantra? All those scary terrahists out there...

The fact is Obama is prosecuting the war with drones much more aggressively than dumbya ever did. And there's the troop surge in Afghanistan... etc etc

But facts never seem to be very important to the right.

But it's important enough to start another stupid 'Obama hasn't saved the world in a year' threads. :ack2:

Jay, when the polls are going your way, they are the be-all, end-all, not so much now...

But hey, at least Kos is paying for polls now so he can continue to feed you all the pablum...."It's all good, socialism is just around the corner and we can be just like the Euro sh!thole I came here from."

I will stand by my prediction made before the President was elected. We will win back all of it by 2012, and he will go down as the WORST president ever, moving Jimmy Carter up one notch.

I could care less which party is in power, I want the government to get the heck out of my life and my pocket book. The Dems currently want more of my pocket book with their health care bill.

I'm buyin' you a wallet. Pocket books are so liberal. :p
