i ran 280's on my 28ft robson designed cat and changed it to 300x and had a marked speed difference of 5-8mph increase, we were able to run at 110mph in race trim, the rules here in new zealand we put a 200kg additional weight to the minimum for running the 300hp motors.

i'll have a hunt around, go to www.nzoffshore.co.nz and look in the picture gallery, yep, it was a ply boat, had plenty of repairs over the years, handled like all short single engined cats in the rough, big gonads needed
