5 & 6 blade outboard props

I have several friends running 5 blade props on I/O applications with increased fuel efficency, cruise speed and reduced slip. I have twin 2.5 offshores and would like any info on how well they work on an outboard application. I have heard rumors of racers running 6 blades also. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Bob

I am looking for some #'s. I can cruise at 60 at 5000rpms with 100+mph top speed loaded with coolers, Boobs and 110 gallons of fuel with labbed 15x30 Spinelli's. I heard my slip would really improve. I have a 25' Talon with drag ported 260's around 3500lbs. alright Gary B, Paul, 2TRick and Tague. Give me your impressions. Thanks again. Bob

27ft NZ designed Robson Racecat, twin 300x on 15in mids, 109mph at 6300rpm, 14.5 x 31 5 bladed Herings, this is in race trim

Can't use them on a performance outboard that uses the standard 1" propshaft(s). The propshafts bend too easily. They must be used only in conjunction with the larger 1 1/4" propshafts, otherwise known as "fatshafts". Good luck.

I know your looking for some feedback from Racers, which is a good thing. We manufacture 4B, 5B and 6B Outboard props. We manufacture Overhubs and Thru hubs in all of these blade configurations. We manufacture our own Billet hubs. We are the only company with 6B Overhubs. Check our our web-site at: www.throttle-up.com go to products and click on the outboard props. Additionally we have merged with SAI and Aerospace company whose web-site is www.shapesgroup.com. This will give you a good idea of what we manufacture and our machining capabilities.

We have several World titles with ALL of these styles, including the X-Cat series in the Middle East. Including Al Boom Holdings, Qatar, and the 2009 World Champions...Fazza, a Team Victory Team. There are also several US racers and private consumers that run our Outboard Designs. Feel free to call or email me with any questions that you may have. We also now have some reps in different parts of the country that may be of assistance to you as well.
