Driving from Buffalo NY to Los Angeles CA

So my best friend is moving out to LA from Buffalo, and I thought, hell why not drive across the country with her, spend a few days in LA, then fly home. So we left buffalo this morning, drove southwest to PE, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois. we stopped tonight just outside of St. Louis. Got some great BBQ for dinner. Saw a scary large cross (158ft) tall in Effingham IL. We just got to the hotel a little bit ago and decided to go into St. Louis and see the Gateway Arch. Pretty cool drive so far, not much to see but corn fields for the first part. tomorrow we will be heading towards Oklahoma, probably stay in Oklahoma City for the Night. Day three we are heading to New Mexico. Then the last day of the drive we are going to stop at the grand canyon, then spend the night in Vegas. A friend of mine is a VIP host so she hooked us up with bottle service and tickets to the Adult Entertainment Expo. Should be a good time. if anyone knows anywhere cool I should stop please post it and let me know. Anywho, happy new year!

theres a couple gun indoor gun ranges in vegas were you can rent and go nuts with full auto m16's, ak, mp5's etc.. that always fun, stop at the nev/ca. state line on I15 and ride the rollercoaster.

that sounds sweet, i will have to look into it. our plans have changed a bit cause we can't end up in LA till friday night now. so monday night we are going to be staying in Shamrock TX, tuesday night in Gallop NM, wed night in Kingman AZ. gonna stop at the cadillac ranch in amarillo on tuesday which I am really excited about, and the grand canyon on wed. anywho, I have no internet till I get to Gallop, so post away if you want and I will check it when I can

sorry man, my going was a bit last minute, we stayed in maryville last night, and went into st louis to seee th gateway arch. now we are in shamrock texas. anywho, I gotta go find somewhere to eat in this tiny azz town, but i will post some pics later tonight

we stayed in the econo lodge, not classy, but clean, and i was exhausted from the 750 mile drive, so it did the job

here are some pics from the ride so far, sorry no naked ones, she just walked out in a bra and underwear, but she is more of a sister to me, so doesn't really serve me any purpose.

so I also finally found out where LOTO and Grand Lake are through my neverending drive through Oklahoma today. I have never seen so many cows, sexy stores, and windmills in my life. but I must say the sunset was freaking unbelievable.

The pics, first pic is the giant cross in Effingham IL, second is the gateway arch, and the third is from the totem pole place, somewhere in OK.

here are a couple of the crazy sunset we saw just before we entered texas. also, we stopped tonight in Shamrock TX, holy small town, there was not even a place to eat dinner. the only thing open is mcdonalds. met the one sheriff in town. but I guess at least I get to watch the fiesta bowl from my hotel in texas!

tomorrow onto the cadillac ranch and some botanical gardens (not my choice) then to Gallop NM for the night

nice to be able to take your time, I have drivin cross country probably 10 times, all bomb runs, did toledo to sandiego in just under 3 days once. once in my younger days, in a happier safer time (I was 18) I hitchiked across the country, that was a fun trip.

well the original plan was to make it to vegas on the 4th day, but after two days of 700 miles, and waking up at 6 am, I am happy to make it just outside vegas on the 4th day, do up some drinks in arizona that night, and cruise into vegas just in time on thus to make it to the audult entertainment expo. I don't mind driving, I have driven to florida way too many times, and done the whole straight through deal, but what is the point in doing this if you can't stop anywhere other then rest stops and gas stations.

I will definitly make sure to take pics in vegas, who could not stop in vegas and go see pornstars. anyone know anything good to do in gallop new mexico?
