Hi Ho's!!!! Since I have Direct TV, get my brother over watching football. Downstairs TV died two weeks ago. Set up my bedroom TV. But think I'll buy a replacement, its a good time to buy one with all the sales. Keep thinking does a single guy actually need 3 televisions.

A) best time to buy TVs is after Christmas and before Superbowl.

B) Yes, a single guy needs as many TVs as places he spends time. I have 5, but watch 4 mainly. The kitchen and the bedroom get the most viewing. Second would be the garage and the living room. The den doesn't get watched much. I like to have the TV on while I am cooking and while I am wrenching and working in the garage.

Here we have the day after Christmas holiday Boxing Day. The stores all hold big sales on Boxing Day, its Canada's biggest day for retail. So I might wait till then. I eat downstairs and have the TV mainly for that. Like having one in the bedroom. Main one is in the family room. 73inch, so everyone comes over for sports and movies.

We just bought the nephew/niece a 55" smart 1080/120hz for $720 with tax for Christmas. They are getting really cheap.

We have a 60" in the living room that we bought when we moved in (almost 3 yrs ago).
It's visible from the entire upstairs. Living room, kitchen, dining room, pool table...
We could go a little larger, but it's fine for us.
I get up in the morning and first thing I do is turn the TV on. And it stays on until we go to bed. Even if we leave the house.
We have a 42", 10yr old tube TV in the bedroom that is only on for 15-30mins when we go to bed.
The spare room has an even older 37" that isn't even hooked to the dish...
I haven't been in that room for a few months.
