Ponch, how is Ty doing without Buddy?
When Riley was dying, I knew we had to get another dog, because Dyce would go nuts being alone.
Jody was online searching for "shelter/rescue" dogs for a few weeks.
Every ten minutes I was getting a "come here, look at this one"...
As she was scrolling down one time, I saw a picture of Gaitz (Duke at the time), I made her scroll back, and those three pictures, I said "That's him, I want him"
His "adoption" was already pending to someone else, but we explained our situation, and they decided on us.
The day we picked him up, we were as nervous and excited as expectant parents.
He's been a great dog! I don't want to say as good as Riley was, but, I do want to say he's as good as Riley... if you know what I mean.
You'll find the right dog, and don't be afraid of that "first sight" instinct.
