I always dream about a 30-32ft, 9-10ft beam, super cut down pleasure cat, with twin 300xs using 15 mids. Maybe 34ft if it could be made fast enough.

Thank You for your reply We build around people and the power there are no restrictions imposed by a mold , there is room for lowering the boat safely without removing any of my forward recovery.

upper 20's with an option for an open bow or fun deck style. high sides and twin small blocks as a power option.

i.e. a new boat that is affordable, reliable, fast, fun, safe.

Thanks for your reply,We were playing with this 28, but bear in mind it is whatever wanted. Once you like the lines on paper then it gets built, there is no one size fits all

In Black so the lines show:

I would love to see a 30-32 for cat with ob's and a 40 race pleasure

That is a good OB size and it would run real good, Now the 40 I have some cool ideas from the Cheetahcat model 12 project. Thank You for taking time to post.

Thanks for all the compliments, as only a few know, there is more to these boats than I will post. Please PM me if you are interested!

How exactly did you figure the step height and placement?

On my Cats the step itself is a straight run from the vent to the back if you were to place a straight edge on it let's say, there is a maximum angle which I do not ever exceed that is what controls the height, Now the front step starts at the projected center of gravity and I use equally spaced steps.

Thank You for asking.

What's the maximum angle and how do you determine the projected center of gravity? Sorry for the questions but curious what makes it work.

Steve, thanks for the time posting these in both of these threads. I have had a miserable last couple of weeks and I just wanted to say I really appreciate being able to come home and see these threads. I am excited getting on the computer and lurking every night.

As far as what I would like to see built I have a few ideas for a 30-35 foot sport-cat for fishing/pleasure/poker runs. My family is calling now but hopefully I can post some later. I'd like to see what you think realistically of what I have in mind.

How do you decide on the compression of the tunnel and when/where it starts to get shallower

Again thanks for your time.

Ernie

Ernie you are very welcome and when I was posting on the 10 Meter fishing boat I could see a market for that kind of boat. again thank you for posting.

The CG is a easy one to work out, that is done station by station on our drawings, same with waterlines ,curves of form, righting arm and etc that I used to do by hand on my small under 20 foot boats PIA, the angles I use are part of what makes my cats run along with the bottom running surface being Mass specific.
