Somewhere along the line you would have to have metal to ignite it, I'm sure it could be done, but I'm not sure someone could take the pain of jamming something into there and then remain conscious to set it off. And if they blew a small enough hole in the skin they would effectively seal it.

They have to pick an airplane with a stripper pole, they use friction against the pole to produce enough heat for ignition..
