46 Cigarette with 1350's and #8's

At the risk of sounding like Team Tsunami, this was pretty cool from OL's new engine:

This engine features a proprietary engine control system with complete data logging ability. It is also capable of live internet data streaming

I'm a little leery of big brother- wouldn't want the hull manufacturer using my engine data against me IF some thing were to happen to the hull.

Just some computer stuff to staighten out and then they are going to let the magazines and potential customers come ride and drive it.

I'm guessin 2-3 weeks.

Also it has a new bottom.
Has a key fob to do a lot of functions such as turning the battery switches on and off.

I would like to see just two pipes exiting the transom.

+1

The 4 pipes across the top is a sweet "old school" look and I like that as well, but underwater and one pipe per motor would be my vote. Less holes and quiet at the dock but able to breathe on plane- win win!

I always have -- and always will -- want the boats as obnoxiously loud as possible. It's all part of the experience. And, a big F.U. to people who are uptite at the docks

Something I neglected to relate- Fred says the engines have a truly distinct sound. First, from the engine compartment you don't have the mechanical noise of a pushrod engine, nor all the racket associated with blowers and blower drives. The exhaust is also supposed to sound unique. I can't wait to hear it for myself.

One last thing- I asked- "So 1350 on pump gas and 250+ hours on rebuild intervals... What will they do on 113?" All I got was a smile.

To that, my response was "That might put a pinch on the turbine guys".

Like the auto manufactures and auto insurance carriers are now doing. :(

Put me down for 4 above the water tips. I don't want too quiet. :USA:

I like your style......:sifone:

One time when we were launching the Skater, the dock was full tree hugging hippies who had three canoes they were about to go out in.....

The look on their faces was priceless...:cheers2:

as obnoxiously loud as possible.

Not you? :sifone:

LOL- I love the sound of motors but it gets old after a while as well. My outboards exhaust through the props until a certain RPM and then they exhaust out the mid-section; kind of got use to being able to talk/hear after a while.

I'll admit they real loud ones are a b!tch after a rough night. MM, I'll talk when we get to the raft-up or bar. Plus I prefer that sound over the women b!ithcing about the speed

110 db at idle for me :eek:

As far as the uptight ones.....at our local waterfront bar, the ragflappin blowboaters always clap when I shut it down. I immediately fire them back up for a few seconds. The owner loves it!!!:sifone::sifone::cheers2:

Thought you weren't sold on Turbo's ? Guess all you said is they are Spectacular. So what are your thoughts ?

Also as a general note:...........Seems everyone is ok with them now that mercury is on board ?

Thanks

Jon

Your right Jon.:cheers2: Its funny every one was a turbo basher for years. To much lag, No bottom end power. Water cooled Ex to much heat loss to make power. Wont ever compete with a blower motor. Oh merc builds a 1350 on 91. Now everyone on board. Funny how fast people change their minds.
