Outerlimits updated website - 28 footer

OK gentlemen, back on topic.

Any thought on my comparison of the 28 OL to the 30 Cig Mystique?

My thoughts are that if you're going to build a 28-30, it better be a performer.
I think many have tried, but it's a small boat to try to get both performance and comfort, and then there is that pesky detail of a price point.
And, I wouldn't expect to have a lot of amenities in this size offshore boat.
Maybe OL will prove me wrong.

I wouldnt compare the OL to the Mystique. The OL will be a mimi version of the SV series which are sit down boats but it will have a small cabin in there. The Mystique was just a shorter regular Cigarette. The 28OL will have some different sylish ques than its bigger brothers. The OL is alot different than what the Mystique was. To me there wont be anything like the SV 28 since no one has really done this before (and im not just saying that).

Id love to have a 28 with our 650 but that would mean i'd have an extra 150K or so laying around!! And either one aint looking good!!

Sure the economy might have sparked this 28 but did anyone ever think perhaps the already owners of the larger OL's might have young sons that are getting older and it might just be the right place for them to start when they go to buy their own boat ??? :cheers2:

As the time goes on, OL will then try to step them up into something larger when they are ready for it...

Just a logical thought .....:seeya:

Sharkey make sure you take lots of pics of the OL booth in Miami!! I tried to jump in the truck but damn classes got in the way on being in miami for 2 weeks!:D:D There's only two boats, but they are both show stoppers!!

Post away if you have logical questions or interest about the boat but you brought up things and turned them around blaming OL for those misfortunes of people loosing their lives (RIP). Thats just not cool. I would love to answer any questions you have about Outerlimits or about the new SV 28.

I am an attorney, I look at factual history, draw conclusions when and if possible . I will not bring that topic of lost lives again, you are right this is not the time nor the place. I will stick with my assessment when it comes to safety, I look at accidents and products with the eyes of a lawyer as well as a performance boat advocate. I do not handle law suits, I do handle criminal law.

I will PM you when I do have a question about OL boats, thank you. Keep studying get that degree. Your passion for performance boats is respected by me.

PS The 34' Phantom is a step bottom-ventilated design, FYI
I comment on safety and design because as a lawyer if there is a more feasible design that could be implemented with safety protection for driver and passenger (cost effective), it should be implemented (Law School Products Liability), that is why I can make such a statement. That applies to all manufactures of goods, cars, boats, ect., that are put into the stream of commerce.

When I had my 29 Kryptonite, the lines sort of looked like a smaller OL of the day and I always thought how cool a baby OL would be! It was a great boat but not the build quality of an OL!

Factory Billet is one of the most Baddazz boats ever built! It makes my boat look small and tame next to it!

TT an OL fanboi?
If he was going to Tulane, would he be a Saints fan?? Yah!
TT... i expect some inside info on the lineup.

And I'm gonna guess Smarty and TT have alot in common, as you both were highly involved in HP boating in your youth. Smarty was just there 30yrs earlier.

I'm sticking to my guns...
This boat will run 90, no problem... but not at the $150k price. Dialing a boat in w/ $4000 props dont come cheap. My $0.02.
