Steve - 2 or Steve 1 - could you be more specific about the mating lip design and why most builders would not understand it and how did it save a few days work ? I alway love Cad shots , very cool .

Well I took a 14 day job and made a 10 out of it on one 40' boat, the deck mold was matched to the hull mold in the flange ,it got set on top of the hull mold and then glassed together deck mold pulled and a perfect job every time. no cutting no up and down and screws just done!.Here I will get pictures.

Here the 40 Falcon the deck mold has just been pulled off and is on the floor it has axles like the hull mold it can be spun over after lamination and placed on the bottom mold the laminate is feathered back to allow for this. dead fit every time. A long ways from home.

Here let me go back, in the collection of things Thad Bought there were a couple Binks Gelcoaters were to be found, I stripped one down and piped it into a large cone funnel on the intake side now the bottom of the pump known as the fluid section,

I placed in a Tub which was filled with water and ice, there was a desk beside it with a Gram scale with tenth of a gram resolution, The Epoxy and hardener and some Acetone (for clean up and flushing the system) was there as well with an Airmixer my brother or later a special trained crew member would batch 3000 gram mixes which then got dumped into the cone on the pump ,the out side ran through a 50' 3/8"s Hose to a 1/2" ballvalve on a Magnum pressure fed roller long handle to the head.We put 5 layers of laminate down a shot.

There were 3 or more starts and stops on that job so the time is hard to figure with setting up a new shop also I will work that out, The "T" was for Titanium which was for all the hardware we had planned for it. Wilson had a way cool integrated into the hull bow eye system worked out for it and the T-3 terminator movie. I will go into the end of that in this thread. Thanks for reading

Hows the stability of the mold when steel framed rather then wood which expands and contracts at about the same rate as fibreglass?
( I guess if your in a constant temp its no problem)

Never had a problem with it ,That shop in the MiddleEast the lamination area was Kept cooled with AC , Now in Florida we are comfortable enough to go with the outside ambient and no problem .

I do the molds both ways no problems so far, Just do care has to be given to bonding the supporting structure and a lot of my Tooling is cored as well, the 38/11.5 M Hull Mold I did at Powerplay was Cored and then 8" strips of 1" core were laid in adhesive under the piping which was in turn glassed to these only and not the Mold Shell.

Did a 46'/14.2 M Cat mold with Wood strong backing nice stiff piece. the 43'/13.1 M in the picture was balanced so one person could turn it and we gelcoat that one upside down in fact it is easer for me to spray that way , couple lights is all that is needed.

Production tooling Steel would be desirable here in our market. and Thank you for visiting this thread.

Is it my eyes or do the strakes push further away from the keel the further up the bow you go? If so, would that create water pressue (ie. lift) as the water moves front/back?

They are laid on with the Keel line, now as the deadrise increases and the boat narrows at the bow it gives that exact appearance, the first 8 feet of these boats changes about a degree per foot of run in deadrise. Thanks for looking and your comments.
