Chicks, Chips & Boats

4:41 Am? What's up with that JJ?

We had a trip to the ER. Maxx's dog, Riley, bit Britt last night around 11. The bite crushed the nail bed and punctured the under side of her left thumb. The bone under the nail bed was broke in 3 tiny spots. We had x rays and an Orthopidic specialist to wait on, as well as 2 Life Flight patients. She had a tetanus shot and 6anti-biotic pills to take before they would let her leave. And lets not forget the Percocet that made her drowsy. Two nights without sleep...Let me know if I get 'loopy'....

Good thing I have today off.....:ack2:

yes, sir. for real :(

:( Hope all is well! How's Brit doing? I had a Jack Russell for about 10 years- great dog but if mine had a pig ear, I knew better than try to take it!!

Wings & diet coke last night.... No beer on Wednesdays until I lose a few LBS (right Uncle BBB). Not that wings are that healthy but at a wing joint, you have to order them. They have Keno at The Greene Turtle now, drinking there just became twice as expensive for me.

I've been going twice a week to Chiropractor for about a month now. My necks been sore (need new chair at work to sleep in) so figured I'd go get stretched and massaged twice a week for a month or so. I think I'm going to try acupuncture as well. If that doesn't work, back to massages but they aren't covered by my insurance. They will be covered with the new healthcare package right?

Wow. Hope Britt's ok and your day gets better.

Jann, I hope Britt is doing well. My son was bitten by a neighbor's dog about 8 years ago. Among the other scars, he now has a Nike swoosh scar on his leg. He thinks it's great. Go figure.

Did the ER take the dog information? In NC, Animal Control takes the dog into quarrantine for 3 days and you have to pay a fine to get them back. Hope all is well since it sounds like a family dog.

Information, yes. Dogs up on shots. Family pets are protective, even from other family members...:willy_nilly:

Thanks for the concern folks, its nice to have friends to share with.:)

Watch it Buddy! :smash:

Since we are talking about dogs, but I spell it Bud E. Love :sifone:

He got a bath, haircut and nails done last week- which means treats from the Vet girls because they love him so much. Spoiled SOB is at home sleeping while I work all day- why do they call it "working like a dog" when he has it much easier than I?

Lol, Mark. Beautiful boy. It's a dogs life...

Where is the SOS "Medic" when you need him??? He better not have been with Captain Morgan. :leaving:

Critters are start'n to accumulate by us. Back when Gino was looking for a home for Gina, I would've never thought Lori would have another cat. She recently brought home two kittens.

Keechoo has become their adopted mom. As you can see, they're working hard helping Lori with a quilt she's making:D

Jann, glad they haven't come to impound your furry baby. I had a friend who's 3 year old fell on her fiancee's dog. Startled dog + falling toddler = teeth marks and scratches on baby's face. Not a good situation. The fiancee was mortified, even though no one blamed the dog or him. He called his ex and had her take both of his dogs. Purely an accident as the toddler and the dog got along fine, even played together. Sometimes things just happen.

Mark, you have a very pretty puppy there! I can't wait to move, we are looking for a place that allows pets. I'm shooting for a fenced yard so I can have a German Shepherd. Always been my favorite dog, my parent's bred them when I was little. But honestly, I'll take most anything, I'm just an animal lover period!

Back up after a nap with the pooches, even the biter....making bean soup. Here's Brits finger nail....

Holy smokes that looks painful! That's gotta smart!

I just sort of re-did Thanksgiving for dinner. Turkey breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy. Yum, if I do say so myself.
