As far as Canada and the US go, I think back to WWII. Remember when the Brits were fighting for their lives and the US wouldn't help? But, US citizens and Canadian citizens both went over and enlisted in the British armed services to help because they gave a crap, no matter what our government was doing at the time.

As I've told many on here. I get pizzed at what is said sometimes too. But, I never take it personal because we all are here for the same reason, Love of the sport!

Regarding Palin, my opinion regarding the reasons behind the progressives fear of her is that she is rallying the conservative base. They have no defense beyond the attempts to smear her, and even that has little effect since she is not in office she has nothing to loose. I do not think she will run for President, her role in the "Tea Party" is much more important to dethroning the Democrats in 2010 and limiting Obama to one term. Regardless of her qualifications or lack thereof...there is no denying that she is a popular and polarizing force. Many identify with her message since she has the apearance of being relatively normal and outside the beltway of those we so despise.
