Chicks, Chips & Boats

Winter project time...

1- GPS broke. I called Garmin- they had a recall because my model 3210 had a water intrusion problem. I was told my Garmin dealer should have told me about it? Well they didn't nor do I really expect them to do so. I registered the unit with Garmin; why didn't they alert me? So- since I didn't ship it back within the window (since I didn't know about it) and haven't been on my boat much this year (so didn't know it was broke), I missed whatever window they had to have it fixed and now it is my problem. WTF- they know they have an issue or they wouldn't have had the recall to start with..

2- Red indicator lights were loose, so I super glued them about a month after I bought the boat in 2007. Glue reacted with the paint and has a look like a screw tightened too much on plastic- like a shattered look. Getting them replaced or repainted by Concept.

3- all the little clear fuse holder caps and the blue toggle switch covers replaced. Some have faded just a little so making it look new again. The little things irk me and make the boat look dated IMHO. (already removed before taking the panel off)

4- replacing all the lights, maybe GPS antenna, etc. Whatever is cream colored instead of white; I'm fixing them.

Took batteries out today- all 4 load tested good. Getting shirk wrapped tomorrow. I was looking at indoor storage but at $350/mo it was just not worth it for me.

I need a place in FL for the Winter... hmmm

Nah- just the paycheck that goes with one of those type things

Change my answer- I'll take the job of being the "Bossman".

You can retire early and shovel as much sheet as you want! Life is good! I'll let you keep the CC since I already have one and take the other as a signing bonus.

Thanks- see ya next week; I'm going on vacation this week!

ps- unemployment benefits are up to like 99 weeks and going to be extended and I want my 5 paid days for swine flu as well

I just love the smell of Shicken chit in the evening.
Loading chickens at Perdue in Cromwell, KY., then it's off to the Chicago market in Chinatown.
Typical dusty dirty chicken plant. 3rd pic is the trailers the birds arrive on B4 slaughter. Kinda ruins the Feel Good Family style commercials they use:biggrinjester:
