my memory only goes back a few years, as I have only been here a few years. All I know is that I volunteer for OPA, he has always treated me well and I know Louie, Dean etc. and I have never heard anyone that he races against say anything negative about him.

I don't think it is anything personal. It's pretty much a statement of fact and history. I don't think even Smitty will deny his engines were illegal in OSS.

If someone here wants to debate that, it goes in the G,B, &U. That's the way we roll. No biggee, that's just the way it is. In the other sections no personal attacks Smack talking okay, but we all joke with each other and respect opinions, and do not do personal attacks.

Otherwise, no valid discussions will take place and nothing positive will ever result.

The rules say he has to change ECU's if protested. It's straightforward and simple. If he works harder within the rules, that's part of racing. Why do you think some NASCAR teams are out front on a regular basis when the engines are teched in a hundred different ways?

Well, obvouisly it is your guys sandbox, do what you wish. I see a difference in talking about a boat that was actually disqualified and just rumors.

We talk about other motorsports all the time when teams are dinged for something illegal. I don't see how talking about the actual boat racing part of it is a personal attack.

If we can't talk about the official results of races, what is the point of a racing forum?

The only reason why i get in trouble ( or lets call it why people don't like me) is because i tell the truth and i am man enough to stand up for it.
U know as well as i do with older parts like a #4 anything can happen,so a 50 cent o-ring stopped me now,,do i know whats next ,,,no.
But the will is there ,only the check book is not.

If it is a current racing issue, fine. If it's something drug up from the past. Or something that's a he said-she said, it goes in the G B and U section. That's why it's there. To give an outlet for those types of things without dragging down threads about other topics.

Things like that can, and will, always come up in almost any on-going discussion. We've all seen threads that were very constructive be lost to the personalities and grievences of the past. We don't want to have that anymore because then we all lose.

Right now I'm very curious about how they tech in SBI for the Spec classes if they don't switch or handout ECU's????

SV is a Spec class with Bravo's and slightly warmed 525's. Stock ECU's.

SVL are sealed 525's and weight.
SVU are wisseld
Stock are sealed outboards
other then those ,,,i think there is non.
