The Great Unification

Factory sealed is better in my mind.

SVL's go fast enough. Slightly warmed means another 4 or 5 mph to me. If the course were all in open water like Sarasota this year top speed in our class wouldn't matter.

Don't mess with SVL we all agree.

I'm just thinking long term. Sealed 525's may get awfully expensive down the road. And scarce.....

OK,OK,OK,,,,now please slow down ,,i am getting dizzy ansewring on 4 threads here ,,could we plaese stay om one or maybe 2 ??? LOL:rofl:

As soon as you open them up you need a dyno to check them. Seems to me no matter what the specs are someone will spend enough to have an advantage. It is a whole lot more fun to test your way to more speed than power your way.

Make the race about challenging the seas instead of winning the sprint to turn ONE.

Mercury will rebuild and reseal an engine. You can still buy new ones (and with the current economy, I doubt they are planning a replacement anytime soon).

forgot about those. LOL
Sealed !!

750's aren't sealed, actually to tech those correctly, it is quite extensive.

850's are pretty straight forward, check pulley size and ecu (the rest is Mercury sealed).

Then you also have gear ratio, skegs, weight and props to check.

Don't the 750's dyno around 900 to as much as 930?
