Anybody ever do the online dating thing? Im totally not into it but Im tryin to keep an open mind ...... :leaving:[/QUOTE]

Met my wife of 10 years and 2 daughters later on a date line. I was tired of the bars and the drama with the girls I dated from them. A friend said to try it and I am glad I did. She was the first girl I met from the service and 2 months later we were married and RG the lawyer still says its cheaper to keep her.

I've done match.com on and off for ten years... it's a cool way to meet people. I've met some great girls, so far nothing permanent.

The only advice I would give ya- get the face-to-face out of the way early... 5000 emails doesn't equal 5 seconds of face time to determine chemistry. First meet should be something easy and casual, like coffee or a drink. I like meeting for a drink on Saturday afternoon... if it clicks, you can extend it into dinner, if not... :seeya:

Its hard to date when your in prison :ack2:

LOL - Dating in prison, I believe, would be a bad idea. :sifone:

Thanks for the responses Guys. I dont know what I think about it .... I guess I've always thought fate needs to play a part, which I suppose fate can still play a part .... the right website, right time, seein the right profile and taking the chance and responding..... I dont know ... I wasnt looking for anything .. still aint really. We'll see I guess :blush5:

I'd rather have a guy just watch and let me do my thing. I'm not flirty

OK, agree with the first comment.....not flirty??????????????:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Go meet the guy. Do it in a public place the first few times. I've done it. Didn't meet Rob there (we met in a bar...neither of us thought we would marry a person we met in a bar), but I met some decent (and some not so decent) guys when I was single.

hello just catching up, seems like if it is not a work day I don't get on the computer.

This will tell you how old I am, I did the match thing, only it was before it was done via computers. I put an add in the the personals in the county newpaper. It was great, the guys had to send letters and a photo to a post office box, then they were forwarded on to me. I remember opening this huge envelope with about 80 letters. Most of the letters were hand written, you can sure tell alot about a person when there is no spell check or grammar button. I remember this one guy wrote how he had recently lost about 50 pounds and then sends a picture with no shirt on prior to his weight loss, you have to wonder why not just send another photo, some sent photos with their ex, and I did get a few from inmates. All in all it worked out well, I think I spent a whole summer dating some of the guys and were still seeing a few when I met Ian in Oct. 20 years ago.

To me it is to hard to meet someone in a bar, you'd almost have to be out nightly to even come close to meeting enough people, and who has time for that. I think the online thing is the way to go, you really have nothing to loose. Just meet in a public place and don't give out to much personal info like last name, and where you work. If you call him, use *67

I have several married friends that met on line and all seem to be compatible and happy,

maybe they just want me to have sex on a regular basis

Pick me- that's what are friends for! :03:

Go figure I mean no comment I mean- J/K Jay!! :biggrinjester:

Great advice! Meet for a quick drink/snack/lunch. That way the date has an end time- won't feel awkward looking for a way out or thinking of when is this going to end or whatever. Anyone can find some thing to talk about for an hour. If it is going well- postpone whatever it is you had "scheduled"; if not all is well and out the door you go.

Oh and Happy December. So the season starts. My first Christmas party this Weds at lunch and then in Toledo all day on Thursday for the seminar that I missed when I didnt get back from Key West in time. :sifone:

Yes it does, our company Christmas party is Saturday. Can't wait, some employees have a couple to drink and lose their fear of me and say something really stupid.

See .. thats just it ... I didnt know I WANTED to meet someone. Apparently some of my friends feel I have been single for too long and would be happier if I had somebody .... or maybe they just want me to have sex on a regular basis :drool5:

Regular basis? Get married and that will stop real fast:biggrinjester:

That sounds like fun :D

My company doesn't do Christmas/Holiday parties. There's only 5 of us so there really isn't a point to it.

I hope the weather isn't supposed to be lousy all week. I have to travel in northern Ohio most of the week.

Just make the announcement that the bonus checks they are holding wont be signed until after the party is over. ;)
