Obama speech to the kids.

Before you know it, we'll be having speeches on abstinence. I hear that one's doing real well down in NC. But this, THIS! It's just despicable.

THE PRESIDENT'S BACK-TO-SCHOOL MESSAGE TO AMERICA'S STUDENTS
Help get America’s students engaged! On Tuesday, September 8 — the first day of school for many students — the President will talk directly to students across the country on the importance of taking responsibility for their education, challenging them to set goals and do everything they can to succeed. We want to make sure that as many schools and classrooms nationwide can participate in this special opportunity, so we are making the President’s address and all the information that comes with it available as widely as possible. Whether you are a teacher, a school board member, or a member of the media, find information below to help you watch and be engaged with the President in welcoming our students back to school.
When

Tuesday, September 8th, at 12:00 PM (EDT)

DALLAS (AP) - When kids all across the country return to school Tuesday, some will see a welcoming message from President Barack Obama and some won't.
Obama's planned address to students has touched off yet another confrontation with Republican critics, who have battered the White House over health care and now accuse the president of foisting a political agenda on children.
The president will speak directly to students Tuesday about the need to work hard and stay in school. His address will be shown live on the White House Web site and on C-SPAN at noon EDT, a time when classrooms across the country will be able to tune in.
Schools don't have to show it. But districts across the country have been inundated with phone calls from parents and are struggling to address the controversy that broke out after Education Secretary Arne Duncan sent a letter to principals urging schools to tune in.
Districts in states including Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Virginia and Wisconsin have decided not to show the speech to students. Others are still thinking it over or are letting parents have their kids opt out.
Some conservatives, driven by radio pundits and bloggers, are urging schools and parents to boycott the address. They say Obama is using the opportunity to promote a political agenda and is overstepping the boundaries of federal involvement in schools.
"As far as I am concerned, this is not civics education - it gives the appearance of creating a cult of personality," said Oklahoma Republican state Sen. Steve Russell. "This is something you'd expect to see in North Korea or in Saddam Hussein's Iraq."

Everybody email your school district to make sure the kids are not forced to watch this crap. If they are, start a recall for the school board members.

Yeah, but some of this goes as far back as the Clinton admin. The Clinton administration went too far in its drive increase home ownership for people that couldn't afford it in the first place.

Yep.
Clinton accomplished three very important things:

1) home loans to anybody with a pulse
2) reunited Fleetwood Mac
3) made an entire generation of kids think that oral doesn't really count

ATLANTA — President Bush on Monday promoted his campaign to boost homeownership among minorities, saying he wanted the number of black and Latino homeowners to increase by at least 5.5 million by the end of the decade.

Bush, acknowledging he had set "a big goal," said it was achievable with the help of the private sector."

"During the 1990s, Washington pushed Fannie and Freddie to expand their role providing loans for low- and middle-income borrowers. In 2002, the Bush administration charted a more aggressive course by pushing for lower down payments and touting vouchers that would allow public-housing tenants to one day own homes."

Then the cleanup

This is where I was afraid they were going with the kids.

I can't download the video from this computer, but here are the Hollywood cellebutards pledging their undying faith to the Chairman. If anyone can download it, it will open your eyes where he is trying to get to.

No doubt a stupid move on his part, but I can hear the catterwalling from all the usual suspects if it had read "After a review of the program expanded by Bill C., we have decided to raise lending standards to a more sustainable level. Even though it may keep some people from buying a home right away we are dertain that with some measures in place to help people raise their credit worthiness we can at least maintain the present rate of lending" .

In other news, ACORN, LaRaza, and the Southern Christian leadership conference organized a massive tent city across from the White House until Pres Bush lowered the lending standard put into place by the previous administration. Asking for an increase of at least 20 million Black and Latino homeowners in the next 90 days, the coalition threatened to expand their tent city to encompass Congress, the Washington Monument, and the Camelot Gentleman's Club if Bush did not concede. :ack2:

Jesus Christ! I think I'm gonna slit my own throat after watching that.

I pledge to enjoy the rest of my day burning off a few thousand gallons of diesel and using hundreds of tons of non renewable resources. :26:

This can't be true. George Bush doesn't like black people. Just ask Kanye West!

I couldn't see the video at work and I am glad that I couldn't. There is nothing wrong with making the world a better place, we all should do our part, but don't do it because you think that someone else wants you to do it....

One guy hit the nail on the head. Obama works for us....the people/idiots of the United States hired (elected) him, so we don't owe him chit, he owes us. :cuss:

Heard back from our elementary school principle......

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rose,

We are not planning on airing the speech. This is not part of our opening day plan.

That video about made me sick. I pledge to not let my daughter go to school on tuesday if they air that chit.

You always ruin my semi-accurate jokes with facts. :D :D

I was just trying to get the Fleetwood Mac joke in there, man. :)

Facts screw up both sides man :driving:

That;s why I don't take sides.

I loved Fleetwood Mac, and yes, I did laugh when they aired with the first douche and the first "lady".

If you read the Drudge Report and believe it, you should be automatically eligible for something. I just have to wonder what our education system has done. I remember when being Republican meant you were probably smarter than dirt. Not so sure anymore. Except for his taste in fugly women, Clinton's starting to look like a friggin genius.
