Everybody around here has been saying Big Macs and french fries which sounds really good to me but the ex called last night and said he'd buy everything if I cook it. Again ... Big Macs and french fries sound wonderful but apparently the son wants a turkey ... and scalloped corn .. and stuffing .. and scalloped potatoes. I still think Big Macs and french fries sound good

Happy short week everyone!!!
We are heading to Rob's moms Wednesday afternoon. She lives near Youngstown so we'll spend the night there, have Thanksgiving dinner and head back home early Thanksgiving evening.
The rest of the weekend not too much going on. Might do some Christmas shopping Saturday (not on Black Friday) or Sunday to get started. Will be cutting back this Christmas for certain.

Today is the last day of my 4 day weekend- grrrr
Already up to 39 degrees!
Going to the GF's super religious uncle's house for Turkey. No TV, home schooled, live on a farm raising own food, etc.
The land they live on is worth $8-$10M. Rich people that don't know they are rich or what to do with it- drives me nuts! I would have sold the whole ball of wax about 5 years ago and in 15-20 mins would be banging on BBB's door looking for mimosas and brown sugar cinnamon frosted pop tarts!
Look for the positive- Christmas should go back to being less materialistic anyway so that is a positive of this economy. (just a comment; not directed at you Chief. You just brought up Christmas so made me think about it).
My GF is a Tastefully Simple Consultant so all my fam is getting gift baskets this year.

Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to the short week too. 2 short weeks in a row for me. I'm headin to FL next Friday for 9 days.
I'll be heading down to my Mom's for Thanksgiving with the dog, prob stay there a few days, or until she tells me to leave:biggrinjester:

I heart you MM...I wish we would get back to the real reason for celebrating Christmas and that it was less materialist than it has become.

I'm going to my aunt's for Thanksgiving. Tony is coming down here (his parents are already in FL for the winter). I think we're spending the weekend going through my condo and fixing all the little things that need to be done so I can list it for sale. Anyone have any advice on realtors or selling condos? Hopefully mine will sell quick but I doubt it.
it was built on spec in 01 or 02 I think, my friend bought it as soon as he stepped in the front door...

Actually aside from being tired, slept from 12-430
, today has been a pretty good Monday....and it's almost over.Sorry your day hasn't gone so well
