Paint gone wrong

I have some more, but as I advance as a photographer, my tactics advance as well.

Therefore all of my pics will suddenly become this:

I personally think this thread is tasteless. Im a believer of the old saying "If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all"

Im all for posting pics and complimenting boats that we like, but i dont see any reason in publicly putting negative attention on anyone.

I know that at least a couple boats in this thread are owned by members here and are nice guys, that love their boats and the paint jobs are personally custom to them and what they like.

Just my opinion, for whatever its worth.

I whole-heartedly disagree. Paintjobs, as with anything displayed to the public, are there to be judged. This includes visible tattoos, team logos on cars, hats, etc. If it is appropriate to give kudos for something interesting, attractive or enticing, it is also appropriate to be able to comment when something is the opposite.

Sometimes these paintjobs represent one's own taste. Sometimes, it the only wreck they could afford and the paint came with it, sometimes owners dont care. But a thread like this, IMHO, is exactly why our boys are fighting the rock-throwers in the Middle East.

If the owners of these boats dont want criticism, get it painted all white or sell it. Otherwise, they should put an extra brew down and pony up some photos of boat even worse than theirs to deflect attention. . . much like how Michael Jackson's death took all attention of Iraq, Iran and political travels to Argentina.

But that is just my opinion, I could be totally wrong.

1. I can pick on anybodies boat cosmetically...if you saw my interior, you would realize I have creative license. :biggrinjester:

2. Damn right I will pick on frankies tow rig...he invited pengy for 110 mph Boat ride, but I'm closer and even offered to buy a boat from him...and I get no ride offers. :cuss::cuss:

The travels to Argentina were political? :)

When I saw my boat in a photo, I liked it but wanted to paint it. When I saw it in person, I knew that I needed to leave the paint. It is part of the character of the boat, it is original Gail Paik paint, and it screams "F you!! I am an Apache dammmit!!"
