Bimini Top...

I would. Nck did you see the one on my Nortech? It was cool folded under the hatch. I am trying to come up something cool for my rib. You can do the mock up out of PVC and then have the tubes bent. BTW party Birthday Party (no gifts) my house July 11th!

OK, kidding aside. We've got one of those white Anchor Shades and actually keep it in the boat......it's only been out of the case once! Watch for them to go on sale. It's usually a couple times a year.

Besides protection from the sun, don't forget that it will make you the Most Popular Boat In The Marina on rainy days, especially if you carry the isenglass and Captain Morgan as well....

I could have used that top and isenglass last weekend when I was coming home from the NYC Poker Run in the f'ing rain....

who cares what others think, if it's not enjoyable why do it, at this point a top is mandatory for both the sun as well as the afternoon monsoon that rolls thru.I had one custom made for an Apache I had and had it made to be just above my head ,clear by a few inches, I could run about 75 with it up. Im needing one for my shadow and thinking about something removable, maybe like a roll-up sort thing with removablr support posts that fold up and a pin for easy on off..It cant be that difficult !

How long to put up/down?

1. Lift top assembly up, swing rear poles down to brackets, install pins: 5 seconds
2. Remove boot, and unwind front straps: 10 seconds
3. Flip top forward and clip four straps in place: 15 seconds
4. Open cooler, mix Captain and diet: 30 seconds
5. Total time: One minute. (30 seconds if you're a tea-totaller, or your better half already has your drink mixed...)

I use a anchor shade to keep my three year old out of the sun. I would have no problem installing a bimini on my boat if it meant I got to use the boat more. Another plus is its there if you get caught out in the rain!

I carry an anchor shade in the Cafe' and have used it several times. I don't worry about it much because we are usually tied up next to sommeone with a cruiser with a top and AC.....

Thanks. I'm usually motivated by the fact that The Admiral usually does indeed have my cocktail mixed and waiting... Ask R'Addiction - He's seen it go up a million times. No wasted motion. (Just for grins, I'll time it this weekend and update the numbers if I'm wrong.)

Ratickle - Good point on the helmets. Wer'e usually pretty conscientious about getting them off once we stop. Once you pour the first drink down the front of your face, you remember...

Don has one on American Beauty. It works great when they take the little one out. The forcast called for rain so that's why he had it on for the poker run in this picture. I'm not sure if he's on this website or not.
