Old Guitar Gear?

a couple cracks in the skull and numerous concussions kind of cured me of my musical aspirations.. sadly a lot of my fine motor coordination is gone.

OK, now that we've determined that 90% of the site was somehow involved in music, and have or currently own some cool chit, Back to the original question:

I've got a few things sitting on the shelf for years now, and thinking about dumping them, Where's the best place to list them?
And what do you think they are worth?

Gallien-Krueger 250 RL?
ADA MP-1?

I did a little poking around, and there seems to be some diehards out there for both of these items.
So what are the values of them? Or do I hold onto them and let them age a while longer?
I haven't touched either in about 10 years.

:sifone:

Put'em on e-bay with a reserve and see what happens.
Thats all I did and got rid of alot of what I thought was junk. You could hang on to it forever in hopes of more money but how much more will it be. I just got tierd of the stuff hanging around. I dought very much my LP or Strat will sell but I will know what the market is. Try it and see.

I've done a little searching, and am getting an idea for the current value of these.
And, I've found a person for each item on Craigslist type boards that are in search of each.
Might be my best bet for them to give me a fair offer.
If I get nowhere, I'll probably try E-bay.

Pretty funny, there is a band lurking in this forum. Maybe three. :D

I just noticed that there are no drummers or bass players chimeing in here.
I know of one drummer on here that is still at it (sorta) but he doesn't post much, likes to stay a lurker but he is real good. But where are the bass players?

You know more drummers than you think. ;)

I know there is a bass player. I can't remember right now.

I'm nominating Bobcat for bass. He just seems to fit the role. Even if he doesn't know how to play. Think Sid Vicious, he couldn't even tune the damn thing... I see a match here:sifone:
I'll volunteer for rhythm guitar, I don't have the chops anymore for lead - I'll leave that to Cosmic.
I'll also volunteer to sing, but only if you want a "Kenny Wayne Sheppard" type sound. I can't do a Geddy Lee, or a Bruce Dickinson.

You guys tell'n me I can't sell my stuff?:)
Soory to change the subject sorta but, did anyone see what that AZZHOLE Kyle Buch did last night to the Les Paul that was custom built for the race trophy?
The HOLE smashed the chit out of it in victroy lane. Talk about disrespect:(

The most I can give is that my dad was a drummer. He played in a band through high school (was THE band then in Cincy from what I can tell. I run into people all the time that knew who Little Don and the Contentions were). Then was the Navy but he started back up when he got back. He had played in bands until a few years after he met my mom. A lot of the bands went to Vegas and all the marriages broke up there so he didn't go. he ended up sellling his drums when I was in grade school. I remember falling asleep at night listening to him play.

Funny story - my dad was actually kicked out of my high school. I went to an all girls Catholic high school. When he was in a band in HS they played a lot of the dances. They showed up to play at my HS and the nuns took one look at them and their long hair and kicked them out. I think they cancelled the dance actually.

I could also see Dude! Sweet! on bass.
Maybe two bass players.
I'm thinking "Big Bottom".

OK guys I brought this thread back up because I am looking for some old parts.
Some of you know I am building a car and I have been thinking about doing the insde with a rock-n-roll equipment theme inside.
so I need.
2 Ludwig speed king bass drum foot peddles
Knobs and switchs from Fender/Marshell/Vox amps
Bigsby whammy bar parts
Anything that could be use inside like a old Mic for shift knob
What can ya come up with? I am open to any or all suggestions

Wow Mark!
Dredged up this ole thing.
I still have the amp and pre-amp, but just collecting a large amount of dust with them.
Cool idea for the rod!
I might have some stuff around here that would fit the theme to a point, but not anything like incredible.
I'll take a look around this week, and see if it's anything I think you could use.
When you making it back out this way to Phoenix area?? It's getting close to your favorite time of year out here, and you still owe me a beer, or I owe you one, or something like that.
Me and Fund met the same way:cheers2:

Tim I don't know for sure if I will make it back, they did 2 floors last month but I didn't get to go on that job I got stuck in Maryland:(, I don't know for sure if there is more or not.

Ya I got thinking about what to do inside that thing and come up with the R&R equip, idea. I can't remember what they were called but I really want one of those big almost square mic's for a shifter handle, I have a couple old stands for the arm. I really need the peddle's.
