I visited their site for the first time because there was a link on the memorial thread for Mr. Begovich. After I checked out his section, and read the tribute from the team, I looked around.

Genius. They have done everything that it takes to get fan support and develop a following for them, for the sport, and for the history. John Haggin is a genius. They are ambassadors like we have never seen. The site is great. They have tons of pics, merchandise, event calendar... fresh updates.

They are not just the fastest team out there, they are the best marketing and promotion operation that I have seen in a long time too.

It is impossible not to love these guys. :D

Scott's dad died???? I can't believe I missed that. My parents and I spend a lot of time with them at the New York race last summer. They were so nice expecially to my mom who sat in the tent alone alot while my dad and I were in the pits.

Yep, there was a thread on the dock. Very sad.

Every story like yours that I hear (so nice to Mom, etc) just confirms for me that they walk the talk.

The whole team is first class, Big John's team member (name escapes me) got my dad down inside the cockpit of the caveman boat. My parents especially my Dad really enjoyed that day and a lot of it was do to the kindness of Scott, his Dad and the whole Geico team. That day was probably one of the best days I have ever had with my Dad and it still brings tears to my eyes when I think about the photos we do not have because he lost his camera on race day, if I am not mistaken there are photos of John, his wife Pat with my parents. There were also a lot of photos of my dad with Scott and with Mark.

I passed the convoy in the carolinas last year on the way to connecticut, It gave me a warm fuzzy ! it is quite a sight, I was grinning for an hour after that:)
