Chicks, Chips & Boats

I'm glad someone is stepping up to the plate and filling pages.

I'm trying to be a good girl and get some work done.....it's not easy at times.

I may have been honors, but it was English Language and Literature. I can do Hamlet Scene 1, act 2. Not Pythagorean theory. I am lucky to know who Isoceles is.

My older sister has been an English teacher at my high school for 22 years. She's supposed to get her master's this year in Library Science?? I asked my dad wtf that was. He said he didn't know, the only thing the librarian did was to keep us boys from playing grab azz in the library,:)

When I went to college, if I took any course other than science or math, dad called it basket weaving!

Btw, dad started school a year late so he could walk to school with his brother, and graduated when he was fifteen.

The Pythagorean theorem: The sum of the areas of the two squares on the legs (a and b) equals the area of the square on the hypotenuse (c).Trigonometry
In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem (American English) or Pythagoras' theorem (British English) is a relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle (right-angled triangle – British English). The theorem is usually written as an equation:

where c represents the length of the hypotenuse, and a and b represent the lengths of the other two sides. In words:

The square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.[1]

The Pythagorean theorem is named after the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, who by tradition is credited with its discovery and proof,[2] although it is often argued that knowledge of the theory predates him. (There is much evidence that Babylonian mathematicians understood the principle, if not the mathematical significance).

:)
Are you a tile guy too?

It's easier to remember A squared + B squared = C squared then apply simple Algebra to solve for any side, of any right triangle. If you know which side are A, B, and C.:sifone:

So what's new with everyone, Donzi you out there, how's the wedding plans coming, Scarab how far are you from Waukesha (sp?) Good Morning America surprised a family there and did the show from their home today. Fund and Jann what did you do with all the leftovers, did your and the Wrinks have Steak and eggs on Sunday morning:D Offshore Rescue, I think I remember something about you being in hospital, how are you doing? David, I am curious what do you do for work?, I need to have as much free time as you do:)

my left arm has been hurting for a month so I finally went to the or tho doc yesterday, he said I most likely have a SLIGHT tear in the rotator cuff and it should heal with therapy. I asked for an MRI anyway because I want to be certain, so I get that next Friday. I start therapy on Thursday and go three times a week. I wish it was just a pulled muscle but at least it does not look like the problem is severe.
Did the doc tell you to start playing tennis right handed?

Scarab(Wayne) is about 50 miles north of Waukesha, I'm about 70.

I tore both my rotator cuffs, my advice is do your therapy! If it's a small tear it shouldn't really bother you as long as you learn what not to do. There are some exercises that will make it flair up so get do's and don'ts of working out.

My best friend hurt his rotar cuff pitching in high school. We always played golf together. Then he had it repaired, then he could barely play golf. He said he wished he'd never done it.:(

Offshore you make my problem seem like nothing. Question on the prosthetic elbow, how does that work, is it inside like a joint replacement, or do you have a whole lower arm and prosthetic hand.

Cuda I don't play tennis anymore, I use to play a lot, in fact Ian and I use to play it together when we first met but it got to be to hard on my hands, some of you might remember I had hand surgery a little over a year ago. I must sound like I am falling apart :)

I went to another doctor today for my yearly check up, he is an avid exerciser he told me had a tear in his rotator cuff, he managed to heal it with about 6 months of doing physical therapy exercises on his own. He also is a health food nut and told me about a Dr Pratt that has written some good books that were easy to read on the "Super Foods" I found a really good website when searching for the book, so for those of you interested, I am attaching the link, it's such a good site that I might not even have to spend money on the book:26: I was happy to see that I already eat a lot of what is on the list, so how many super foods do you guys eat??? http://www.superfoodsrx.com/superfoods/

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Two clients of mine have suffered this injury, and I know its painful. :((I checked out the link, and we eat a lot of those foods already too.) I miss having dogs around....:biggrinjester:
