Firs, this is outstanding news.

Second, to get the rtings, there needs to be a compelling story that draws people. could be a rivaly, who knows. but there needs to be an angle. Otherwise, it might flame out.

Car racing fans like to identify with either a strong winner, a pedigree or an underdog with a chance.

they will need on-board camera's, streaming dialogue in the cockpit, etc. e cannot wait to start from infancy. people are used to Nascar's fan integration.

Wont help the sport if the un informed announcer is saying " So that yellow boat is about to pass the blue one. I bet that is quite a ride in one of those boats" LOL

Think about the racer-fan disconnect. Unless fans go to the pits and see the racers, they are basically cheering for boats. Nascar has all the hooplah before the race, the racers kiss their spouses, "start-your-engines", etc. We should have something from teh milling area where the racers have their helmets offs and are out of the canopies so the cameras can catch them. make the personalities of the boats come through.

Is there a steering committee I can send some of these ideas to?
