Offshore Racing to be broadcast on CBS, in 2009

There was just an announcment made in Clearwater Florida at 11:00 AM EST.

Offshore Racing will be broadcast, on CBS on Sunday's, starting in October. Maybe this will help some teams with securing New Sponsors for the 2009 season.

The Seminole Indians have been instrumental in putting this deal together. Stay tuned....

Now we need a unified sanctioning body and better class structure.

I would like to see a class breakdown similar to this:
(with min. weight restrictions for each class)

Unlimited: 40'+ twin engine (Turbine OK) (Cat and Vee)
Super Cat: 36-40' twin 850's (any brand)
Super Vee: 36-40' Twin 850's (any brand)
Cat Lite: 32-38' Twin 525's (any brand) or Twin OB's
Vee Lite Twin: 32-38' Twin 525's (any brand) or trip OB's
Vee Lite Single: 26-32' single 525 (any brand) or single OB.

I think we ALL need to VERY AWARE of actions from here on forward! I for one in general strive to be a positive person, personally and professionally. I think with such an increase in the shear number of eyes upon us from here on forward...we need to ALL collectively try to respresent our beloved sport and my profession in the positive light that we would like to be perceived.

We are Go Fast Boaters....so lets show the world, what intelligent, articulate and great people we are!!!!
