Chicks, Chips & Boats

the wonder state of california...to get my enginneers license (to drive the fire truck on a volunteer dept) I had to have a non-commercial commercial license with airbrake, tank, and hazmat endorsements, on top of another spcecial license to drive an ambulance.

Chief working on that kind of project sounds dreadful, I am sure you are glad it is behind you.

I wish I could remember what our wedding cost. We did get a lot for the buck, sort of like Barb we cut corners but no one seemed to notice. I don't know what they do for gifts in OH but in NY where I am from everyone gives cash. If I recall we pretty much counted on breaking even on what we spent vs what we received as gifts. Uncles and Aunts gave gifts like $500.00 so that helped. The oddest gift we received was from Ian's parents. They moved to MT shortly after we got engaged. They had a spare outboard motor from a boat that they sold. They gave it to Ian and asked him to try to sell it for them That was long before Ebay and Craig's list. He put some signs up at work but never got around to advertising it. The night before the wedding his father said to me, you know that motor in your garage, THAT IAN NEVER BOTHERED TO SELL, you should be able to sell if for around $500.00 when you do, keep $300.00 as a wedding gift:eek: What do you say to something like that?? I also could not figure out if that type of gift required a thank you note:biggrinjester:

lol....only in California. Was there twice to say I trucked in that state, after that I tore those pages out of my road atlas. They aren't very friendly to trucks out there:(

So what was the final outcome? Did you sell the motor, or buy a boat?:)

I guess if it's your new in-laws you say "thank you."

Now, if you still have it... I will give you a hundred bucks for it, but I want to be photoshopped into the wedding pics and I want a nice thank you card. :D

I just found out my daughter needs a Florida ID to attend prom. What's with that, seems really dumb to me:mad:

Gotta make sure she's not one of those crazy cheeseheads......:sifone:

Don't put your hat on her for the pic......:26:

My daughters school required anyone who wasn't a student at the school, had to be cleared for entrance...... Security measures.....A couple of Britts friends had to have their dates approved.......:(

'Morning

Pragle - 12k is pretty cheap actually for a wedding these days. I think the average cost of weddings these days are over 20k.

BBB - for my prom they did random breathalizer tests. I'm not surprised they want ID's but I don't see why one from home would work.

Pretty late this morn'n. All that late night Bamm'n and Ho'n caught up this morn'n?:biggrinjester:

You need to go look at the other thread sweetie. I've been posting sine 8:0 something this morning!

That was fun last night. Wow did I add to my count yesterday. The wine helped! :biggrinjester:
