spent my first 2 hours towing a boat yesterday. My neighbor put a new impeller in his 20ft Sea Ray. It tried to burn up. Man those things make a lot of black smoke. Loaded his kids on my boat and made him stay in the boat. Almost to the ramp. I called ahead. Some azz hole wasn’t going to wait. He backed down. He spent 30 minutes trying to park his truck and trailer. Heidi let him know how thankful we were. It’s kinda tuff doing circles towing a boat.

Guys like that find out their spare is flat when they need it.

Nearing 90 again

Gonna be 98 and humid today. I sealed up some gaps in my cold air return, set up an umbrella to shade my AC, and washed the cooling fins. Not sure what else I can do.

And... at 6pm last night, my start capacitor died.

The good news is that I had a new replacement capacitor on a shelf in the garage and I was up and running again in 15 minutes. They are way too easy to change not to have a spare.

Today will be the hottest of the week here.

My start Capacitor went about 30 Years ago....

I assumed you ran on vacuum tubes.

Few years back my AC smoked a capacitor.
Replaced and short time later compressor blew right up.
Oil all over.
System was over 30 years old.
Son's AC capacitor went out earlier this spring.
They're looking at replacement soon.
Now is not the time to be without AC.
