Anyone have any views/thoughts---good or bad luck --- on installing "Zinc Pencils" in their aluminum heads and aluminum exhaust manifolds?????

Thanks --- Mike !!!

They don't protect against salt problems. They do offer protection from galvanic corrosion that takes place anywhere in water with dissimilar metals. Most engines have them in coolers and heat exchangers. They would be a good thing to add in any engine where different metals are present. Iron, copper, brass and aluminum all inter act and will corrode when covered in water.

Thanks Mobilmercman------SOOoooo I screwed up with putting Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake, hard anodized, on my brand new motor ????? AND Gil aluminum manifolds for the exhaust----We were going to put the zinc pencils in both ???? Thanks----Mike !!!
