That's awesome. Nice to see it run great in rough water and then really take off in the flat stuff.
That's what I thought as I watched it. Race or poker run, the 36 Cheetah can do it all.

Steve what do you think of the Bladerunner? My boat had a similar hull and I loved the way it handled. Lorne is selling tons of them in the Middle East, but with the dollar at $1.90 to the Pound, they can't sell them here.

Cat Look I understand your point BUT the obvious comes into play Here I Did not edit THE videos and put a Cheetahcat in front!!!!!! who was leading the race btw?? Like the Kuwait races (4 in a row) it’s my fault WE show up with a hand built precision mold less race boat!! Too a race????

Bradz had some triple that according to him did not run well. Now if it were I it would have got burned.. As for the speed I got daily feed back and updates on that boat it ran 144 when they first ran a triple setup then I got a call from Rashid Hamilis Uncle saying he just ran 146 with it and he was ecstatic.. LOL 118 would Maybe get you last place in the M Class races there.
Well all I have to say is you "moved the hull out of the way of the water" pretty dam good lol. :sifone:

I can just see Uncle Hamili's face when he got out of the boat...he must have been gobsmacked.

Catman LOL I try. It was a lot of big time fun and my life was never the same after the first boat. A lot went into that hull design, I did not have the computer I am sitting at now just a radio shack calculator and Mr Tim Sharkey worked with me to finish it for the WC in Key West.

Yes He Was Very ! I got that call in the middle of the night!! He had Rolla involved the money and clout to get about anything he wanted done Now.

Mark Hawkins had a guy in Pompano Beach building the 51. I wonder if he still is, I lost his contact number and I can't remember his company name. I talked to him several times, can't remember his name either drat!

They completed it in Fort Lauderdale right off Sr 84 it was going to So America I think The guy did a nice layup job on it! I went to Vecter works (good people) and picked up a bunch of CNCed plugs to finish the small parts for it.

I am still having a hard time with your claim of 146 mph. How about telling us what size props and gear ratio and RPM you are running. The biggest props made and tallest gears and running on the rev limiter of 8250 won't get you to 146. I know what 146 looks like and in that video in rough water you may have been in front but not even close to 146.

I can believe a twin will run 90 I have done it myself. A triple is not that much faster than a twin in top speed, but has a lot more acceleration. Skater make a really fast hull but not even close to 146 with outboards.

Let's cut the game here :Did you have a 1188 Pound 36 foot Cat Hull and deck (with tanks)??You see that is what I was building in 1991 Nowadays I can do much better..

The fact you coould not run well maybe the builder Did not like you!

Rather than insult me and some of the finest boat builders here in the states, how about some facts about your rpm, prop and gear ratio?

Dude I did not rig that tripple setup(it left my shop as a twin) that was done in Abu Dhabi By Hamili's group I only offered my input when it was needed, The Props they had Rolla doing them basic math will give even you an idea of the pitch!! the Engines were done by Doug Lewis for a while..

But as Designer and Builder I should get some credit for the performance! RIGHT ??
