Is ready to get into the mix in Dubai, as the 2010 X-Cat series begins.
The first race has been delayed due to the passing of one of the royal family members, the country is in mourning. Today the sea's were very rough and concerns of safety from the WPPA and organizer's gave a chance for teams to prepare for tuesday's event 27 are registered to race. With only about 45 minutes of test time on the boat, Throttleman Mike Seebold stated that testing between now and race time would be great, (any testing must have the Coast Guard's approval). Seebold further stated that they are not here to prove anything, besides getting a good feel for the boat and finishing the race. The boat was rigged by Grant Bruggerman of Grant's Rigging and Stihl Racing fame, he is also here to insure there are no gremlin's that will keep the team from competition. which will include him, as Grant as teamed with his United States advisary Gary Ballough in the ProMarine USA.Com also a 32Ft Doug Wright. With the postponement of Saturdays scheduled event Organizer's will race the first round Tuesday and the second round will follow friday, in Dubai as well.

Be interesting to see the new DW vs. old DW. I thouight I read the new has different bottom, and obviously a diff deck. Anybody know the new top speed? One of the previous DW's ran 124 I think. Sick speed for 560 HP and a 32 footer!

Thanks for posting, great stuff as always!! But would you happen to have any more pictures of the canopy inside? I'm curious as to how the built the structure and support.

Those two DW's will contain some insanely talented and competitive crews. Possibly the best talent we have. It will be exciting when they get comfortable with the new equipment.
