thank you all for the well wishes...im flying down tomorrow to FLA, going to the 2 appts pops has with an oncologist and surgeon and hoping to get an all clear to bring him back here for a 2nd opinion to Fox Chase in PA...
 
got him back to Jersey on 6/6, had a consult with Fox Chase Cancer center in Philly. He went in 6/26 for an intestinal resection. They removed the tumor, 7-8 inches of his upper intestine and a cluster of lymph nodes that there pretty sure were "involved" as well. waiting on path lab results to determine what stage and if chemo will be needed. The surgery went well and he's now recouping and hoping to have him home by Friday...
 
sorry for the delay in updating but has been pretty caotic. Pops is almost done with chemo (12 rounds 2 weeks apart) his prognosis is good and he's still up here n Jersey close to me and my siblings. He has 2 treatments left and cant wait to get his ass back to FLA. First time in Jersey for the holidays in 10 years and wouldnt ya know we get 27 inches of snow. Im glad 2009 is behind me for sure and just wanted again to thank all of those for your thoughts and prayers as well as phone calls and emails.

Great news Bernie!

I found out yesterday that one of my best friends has lymphoma, starts Chemo next week.... 35 yrs old... :(:(
 
BERNIE good luck,i feel you delimea..i buried five family members in 16 months..hope all works out for him.
