Worlds fastest Apache?

It will certainly be an interesting combination of old school hull and new school power......

There has not been a lot of Vee hull turbine boats. The Fountain up here didn't do so well with turbines. Neither did the Turbinator Black Thunder.

How much weight is being removed with the change of 3 motors verses 2 turbines?

Well, looking at these specs, a no drive Merc big block is 1060 lbs. With a 6 it's 1835 lbs. If the turbine is 540 lbs, and the Arneson drive is 285 lbs, that would be a whole lot of weight savings on three vs two. :) I have to believe there may be a transmission weight also added to the Arneson combination though, and it's included in the Merc weight.
