World prop speed record

I assume everyones following the latest on Al Copelands attempt for the World prop driven speed record. If I am correct Miss Budwiser is presently holding that record. I was courious as to why the top fuel drag boats don't go for that record, they are now hitting 260 mph, which beats Miss Bud. Is it because they can't do a second return trip in time?

I don't thing the drag boats can sustain the speed for a two way Kilo. There engines are would probably blow up

On the flip side though, could anything else that's running right now hit 260 assuming they didn't have to run a kilo or back it up? I mean I understand if the APBA prop driven record rules are a repeatable kilo record... it is what it is, but in terms of absolute top speed on the water with props, I think, they run the numbers nothing else does. Not ball busting, just curious. Scotty, what kind of numbers do you think you guys could see if you didn't have to back it up and could run whatever distance you wanted?
