Pretty Cool!
The overhead shots are better than any arena.
And that go-ahead goal by Datsyuk in the 5-hole was a great shot.

Camera coverage is SO much better.

I've been to Joe Louis Arena to see the Wings many times, great arena, but this outdoor classic is pretty cool!

I missed it, went on a beer run and forgot all about it. maybe they will show it again, I love wrigley field.

Buoy, I'm pretty sure you were watching the CBC's video feed, announced by NBC paly by play guys.
The NBC feed was about 5 seconds behind the CBC feed when I was flipping back and forth.
Yesterdays game looked a regular "Hockey Night in Canada" broadcast to me.
The American networks have football, and baseball coverage perfected, but they typically land in second place in Hockey IMO.

BobCat, here's a link to the CBC coverage from yesterday ....

The play-by-play was being done by Dave Strader, and I'm not sure who else was in the booth.
I think Strader does a pretty good job, but of course I grew up watching him and Mickey Redmond calling all the Wings games - I always liked all the "Mickey-ism's" that Mick would drop during a game. Mickey still calls into the morning show at WRIF pretty regularly.

It seem to me that the camera angle was low during the telecast and the rink appeared narrower. The overhead shots were neat.
Great event for hockey, from what being said all the cold climate teams are lining up for an outdoor game.
Go Wings,

I was listening to a talk radio show while I was out running around this morning and they were talking about the game.
Stadium was sold out - they were saying around 45,000.
Ticket requests were around 250,000.
Yeah, I think they'll be doing it a few more times.
