Windows 7 beta

Tried it. Still a POS. My new computer came with Vista. That lasted a week. Running XP PRO SP3. It'll be a while before that's replaced.

bought a laptop with vista. had tech guy reverse to xp pro. maybe one good thing to come from the global economic collapse is the new companies that rise up with run on Mac OS.

I work at home and am highly dependent on my computer, I recently had to get a new one, of course it came with Vista, the vista part does not seem to bad, but it does seem to lock up if I click a little to fast on the INTERNET. The problem was that it came loaded with a trial Microsoft office 07, the guy that I hired to set everthing up tried several ways of unistalling the program to install the 03 or whatever the last version was. It never worked properly and I was told the trial version was interfering and it is hard to get completely off the computer. I hired someone else and she said 07 was not bad and everthing got reintalled, so now I am stuck with 07 and i HATE it, it is so different, I use EXCEL a lot and all the functions I use are now hidden, under multiple tabs, word sucks also, many more clicks to get to basic functions. I feel like I have to go back to school to relearn these programs. So few people have 07 that I have trouble getting help with it. I think they try to cram so many functions into the program that I bet hardly anyone uses. I recommend you wait as long as possible to get 07. I also had to get a new printer/fax because my old one which was great was not compatible. Now each time I fax or print, which I do quite often, a huge pop on all the functions of the printer takes over my entire monitor, so I have to reduce it or wait till it finishes faxing which takes forever. The pop up doesn't even go away when it finishes printing or faxing, you have to close the pop up down. If you need a new printer do not get the HP J6480A all in one. It is very noisy when dialing, when printing, when ringing, the key pad is sensitive and the number has to be redialed a lot, all in all IT SUCKS

These are four pretty cool sites from Microsoft. Just click on the “start guide” and it will show you Office 2003 and then how to find it in Office 2007.

There is a big difference between Windows 7 and Office 07. Two completely different things.

Jon as you can tell I am a computer expert :moon: Windows 7.....Office 7 seems like they both suck:ack2:

:hurray:Boss thanks for the help links I downloaded two of them

I do like Office 2007 though. It is a resource hog but I still like it better than 2003 but I don't have to use it that much.

I am running Vista with Office 2007 on my laptop and XP Pro SP3 with Office 2003 on my desktop. I didn't like Vista at first, but I got used to it. I'm not too fond of office 2007.

I have xp. Paid to have xp on the kid's too.

Tomorrow I get a new laptop from work and it will have vista. Guess I get to see how that goes... had no problems with xp.

Vista's awful. It's a resource hog, slow, glitchy, and beware the built-in DRM nonsense.
I would go out of my way to avoid it.

From what I have seen of Windows 7 it is going to be fantastic. The thing could be an Apple killer. You will like Vista have to relearn about everything but it does some amazing stuff.
