Who Says You Can't Go Boating In November In Wisconsin

66° on 11-7-09 was too tempting. Unfortunately, the waters were really, really quiet :( I only saw a handful of fishing boats and one other sport boat. Some dude fishing from shore was yelling and screaming at me for some reason  Hey dude, the slow-no-wake buoys are gone, so STFU :sifone:

Boat Yard was open, but quiet.

Fratello's was open, but quiet.

Lakeside looked like a shrink wrap ghost town.

I did get a little nervous going across lake Butte Des Morts and the depth gauge dropped below 2.5 feet as I was doing 50MPH. The area is usually shallow to begin with, but the water level is down 8 to 10" right now which made it worse.

great weather saturday!! if you seen a large plume of smoke coming from the southwest side of Poygan that was me burning leaves AGAIN!

Where did you see 2.5

That part of Butte des Morts is always shallow.

If you were that far north of the river channel I guess you would've seen some shallow water. The river channel is a straight shot from Tilly's to the mouth. If you get south of it, you'l find some pretty shallow water over the dredge bank.....oh ya, and some old cars.

I've always followed the shore with no problems. Guess I need to go further south for my next Novenber run :26:
