How many of the 41's and 47's out there are actually running ?

I mean really ready to go out and have fun ???

That would be the REAL question .:bigear:

South Jersey guys. What was the name of the sit-down 45' (or it could have been a 47') triple engine beast in the early 1990's? It was always around the Somers Point, NJ area. I thought it had the name "Fire and Ice" on the side of the boat. I know it ran on race fuel because I remember smelling the exhaust one day as it idle past.

This would be the same time as the 42' Cigarette "Smokin" was kept in Somers Point, and Joe Mancini's 95+mph 38' Cigarette.

Where did this Apache go? And what was it name? The hot-rodders back then said that the boat was something like $650K new back then.

Smarty,
I think you might be thinking of Bobby O's boat. Firewater it is a 47' with a pleasure setup attached is a photo. The boat runs over 100mph and has 3 huge HP stotler Motors. If this is the boat you are thinking about it is still owned by Bobby and i see it out at Trump every once and a while in AC.

Pretty sure that's the one (it must be). It would be at the Waterfront (that's what the dockside/restaurant used to be called) in Somers Point by the Ninth Street bridge every so often.

Sharp boat. My father ran that boat and "Smokin" one day, a three way mini-drag race. My father told me was beaten by the Apache, no doubt about it.

One beautiful boat.

I rode on a 41' island runner last weekend and saw SC Red Hot out on the water, I have also seen Island Racer and Warpaint out this summer as well. plus firewater 47' So that is 5 more to add!

Ron's 41 in monroe (unnamed) is running and in great shape. If he does the leopa run tomorrow I will ask him more about it and get a few piks.

Oh Cambridge, i forgot it is next weekend and i just dropped off the boat at the paint shop, trying to get it ready for key west. We may come down on sunday by car. We will look for you. Ike.

Please do Ike! Although we would have loved to see your boat. We would like to meet up if so. Rob's cell 440-413-3589.

Hi Barb, Are you bringing the apache with you?

Yes we are! :) First time we've ever done anything like this.

We trailer up to the islands a few hours away, but we've never trailered out of state with our boat in tow. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, but we're looking forward to a great time in Cambridge.
