What's your morning routine?

my office building is across the street from Hillsborough River. Debated driving to work on a Friday by boat. Problem is, I keep the boat 30 minutes away near the beaches.

If we buy a place on the water soon, I'll be cruising to work via water when not seeing clients that day.

6:15 alarm goes off. Play snooze button tag for 10-15 min. Wake up, brush her Blonde locks out of my face and realize the reality of last nights dream. The two women in my bed consists of the wife snuggled up to my front side (nice) and the dog burrowed under the covers against my back side (warm, but disturbing non the less). Get back at the dog for last nights puppy f*rts.....dog bails out from under the covers. Revenge is sweet, but now where did the wife go.......so much for early morning begging. Get up, pour coffee, let the dog out to do her thing. She's eyeball'n me like maybe I need to go out. Swap places with wife in shower. Feed dog, shave, brush and out the door at 7:30.
Make deposit at bank and to work at 7:45. Fire up the system, check emails, log into SOS, process internet sales from night before and do paper work until I swing the doors at 10:00

Yep Kirby is a dog, but he's tiny and a runner, since we don't have a fence, a litter box inside was easier than standing outside or tying him up. This has made life easier in lot of ways, we have even gone on some short overnight trips and left him in the laundry room with food, water, and litter box. I don't use cat litter, just newspaper that I can roll up and throw away. I have a box for the boat and put it in our enclosed head when I want him to go. Our last yorkie used to have to go potty around 5 each morning, and what a hassle, I'd have to get up, get dressed, climb off the boat, down the dock and find some grass. Now I just pick Kirby up, place him in the box, shut the door, and in 9 out of 10 times he will leave a little something behind:) It's funny, if he knows we are going to go on a walk, he will run to the littler box just before we go out and empty his bladder, similar to what I do:biggrinjester:

This morning was traumatic though, on our journey down the stairs I tripped and wound up falling down several steps on to the midway point landing, somehow I had enough time to get a better hold of him and cushion him, by the time he rolled out of my arms he was only a few inches off the ground. We both just sat there dazed for almost 5 min. Since he is so small and our stairs are wood he has taken a few tumbles so whenever possible I carry him, sometimes it's in the laundry basket, the waste basket, or my gym bag, but I try to give him a lift down:)

That is one spoild pooch! :26:

My typical morning during my busy season: Alarm goes off at 5, hit snooz for the next 45 minutes, get out of bed, dressed/coffe/out the door and at work by 6.

Theres no time to **** in the road construction industry. :D

Damn...eveybody sleeps in!

Normal day...alarm goes off at 4:44 (I just like that number)...usually I'm out of bed before the song on the clock radio has played three notes. Clean cat litter box, eat 2 or 3 bowls of cereal (NOTHING healthy...I loves me some Cocoa Pebbles). Leave for work at 5:20, open up the shop about 5:35, check emails, OSO, SOS, and my favorite blog, Drunkcyclist.com.

Biking day...alarm goes off at 4:20 (I just like that number)...same routine, except I leave at about 4:50 to get a good 20+ mile ride in...follow it up after work with 30 or 40 miles.

Running day...alarm goes off at 4:00 (I really don't like this number), meet my bud at the local high school for a 4 or 5 miler, then hit work, eat breakfast there, and start my day.

And yes, some people think I may not be all right in the head.

Wake-up anywhere between 7 and 8:30 AM. Squint at the TV that's been on all night. Fart, laugh, get-up, pee, put on robe, make coffee. Sit at computer until coffee's ready.

Check emails, type survey from yesterday, turn-on cell phone between 9 and 9:15 AM.

Poop, shave, shower, brush teeth and get dressed. Head for shop or today's survey.

wake up at 5:30, promise never to drink again , microwave leftover coffee while new coffee is brewing, drink whole pot, (except for one cup for tomorrow) do crossword and brain teaser puzzles , check all sports on yahoo sports, weather underground then sos then oso classifieds then back to sos and then S.S.S. off to work by 7:30, by three I have built an unquenchable thirst for beer.

Alarm goes off 7:10,hit the snooze twice, oatmeal, shave, shower, maybe a little Good Morning America, out the door, open office by 7:55,(2 blocks away)

alarm goes off art 5:15. lay there for about 10 mins. out the door by 5:45. at work by 6:30. dont do anything at work till about 7:30.

1st NEVER an alarm..........

2nd get kids up by 7:30 to get to school by 8 (unless my wife is home, then she can do it)

3rd get down stairs by 8:30, surf a little, find out if I won the lottery or if I have to go to work

4th Post office by 11:00 to see how much money came in....... will seriously determine if I am done for the day or if I need to go door knockin'

Edit: My guys are at the shop at 6:30-7:30 and working before I get up. They know to text me any issues, DO NOT CALL unless the building was burglarized or someone stole my trucks! Daylight savings time will alter the schedules for them by an hour or so.

Eat a breakfast sandwich and the finest coffee around (comes in a green can, made by Pepsi, insane amount of caffeine - can anyone guess what it is?)

LC

Forget the caffeine, watch out for the sugar in Mountain Dew. In a 20 oz bottle there is 80 sugar packs (like at a diner) in ONE bottle. I was good for 2-3 bottles a day but got spooked at the dentist when a new hygenist asked how much bottled soda I drink. When I inquired why she mentioned my two front teeth were loosing the enamel. She knew it was from a lot of bottled soda since it affects those two teeth the most. Red Mountain Dew was my favorite, I even knew what stores in the area stocked it vs. just green.

I have slowed to a soda a day but cannot buy it for the house (a two liter bottle wouldn't last a day, a 12 pack usually wouldn't last two days). It sucks to quit but that amount of sugar isn't good for anything........
