Ok guys, after reading Dee's thread on Vinny's 170mph run in the 32 Skater, I thought it would be fun to start a thread on the fastest people have gone on a boat.
You can put how fast you have driven/throttled and or been a passenger and what boat(s) it was in.
No B.S.! :biggrinjester:

My Stats:
Fastest Driving: 105 (38 Donzi ZrComp)
Fastest Passenger: 175 (40' Skater "Jet Set")

Honorable Mentions: 140+ (36 and 43 Nor-Tech Cats)

197 in a top fuel hydro that later ran 206....didn't want no more after that....just tested at LOTO in the 170's but couldn't get it to accelerate hard enough in the mile to get it there where it would count!!!!! That was in a Skater!!!

I know some guys here have run drag boats and hydros, others speed skiffs and garveys! You are right there are different types of fast, 200 in a hydro vs. 90-100 in big water in an Apache, both are big time adrenaline!

What was your FAVORITE high speed boat ride.

1. Racing off Pt. Pleasant NJ (92 or 93?) Legit 6-8 footers on the off-shore leg (between turns 1&2) in a 29' Mirage.

2. First poker run in 2000 in my 22' Donzi Classic.

3. First time running through the Keys.

Best run, first trip to Bahamas on dead flat day pulling into Bimini in my 32 Sunsation

Its funny, to me it is all in who is driving. I have turned down a few rides simply because I thought the Captain was way over his HP limits. I prefer to watch those guys from a distance..... Johnny T/ Tres and others would be fine demo Captain-Pilots for me at any speed.:sifone:
