Ceramic Tile contrator, doing exclusively commercial work for 15 years. The last two years have absolutely sucked, but I have five jobs under contract right now. Turning the corner I hope.

I m going to have to disagree with the DJ statement. I feel that Paul Oakenfold is the best..:biggrinjester:

I own Jason Robert Construction in the Syracuse, NY area. I do custom trim carpentry in new residential homes including custom built stairs, bookcases, entertainment centers and so on. I sub-contract to a few local builders including one that was in this years Parade of Homes. I also do decks, finish basements, small additions, stuff like that when new construction gets a little slow.

Here's a little of my work.

I own an automotive repair shop in Toronto. We service and fix just about anything that rolls. Specialize in all the nasty electronic and network problems the dealers never seem to fix :) I also do alot of antique and classic repair. Having grown up in the business, I learned from a master who worked on the old stuff when it was new stuff. Do some HP marine stuff for goog customers but I try to avoid working on other people's boats. I don't want to start hating working on my own. Our shop started in 52 and has been going strong ever since.

I work for a large Wholesale Distributor of building materials (Plumbing, HVAC, Waterworks, PVF, Appliances, Fire Protection, Finished Plumbing Goods, etc..) - as an Acquisitions Analyst.

We do the solicitation, valuation, due diligence, and eventual purchase of other companies. This time last year we had 14 people in our department, we are down to three so I have my fingers crossed.....

Purchasing Mgr. for an Rx optical lab.
In other words, we make prescription eyeglasses. I buy all the stuff it takes to make them, maintain stock levels based on production, and work out the snafu's when something is unavailable, B/O, caught up in customs, or someone just plain screwed up.
I'm also involved in production layout for efficiencies. Looking at logical ways to improve production flow, and the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
I've had three bosses in the past 6 years, and I don't think any of them have ever known what it is I actually do.

In a previous life I was self employed trim carpenter doing high-end custom work. Same type of work 89Mach1 is doing. Nice work by the way!:sifone:

I am a general contractor, construction manager. I mainly do commercial, but I do some residential new construction, remodeling even some subcontracting work.
