The boats started near the Grand Haven Municipal Marina at around 10:15am for the August Fun Run to Holland and back. The 55-mile round trip included a stop at Boatwerks Restaurant on Lake Macatawa for lunch, then an informal hang-out at Pigeon Lake by Port Sheldon on the way back.

The run started with the boats running south from the Grand River in Grand Haven to Lake Macatawa in Holland. Weather was perfect, and so was the water.

Something you don't see every day. High performance, luxury, sport cruisers being driven like, (by?), offshore racers!!

great day for a boat ride. i was hoping for a few more boats, but for a new club it was a good turn out. the precision power offshore cig run great, few little bugs to work out yet but first good hard run on it i'm pretty darn happy. our crew had a great time. long time friend steve if not for his help i would miss a lot of boating. my close friend teddy from fla came up for the run/weekend, and 2 friends of teddy's from north carolina here on business came along also. those 2 had never been in a offshore boat before. took them a while to get there sea legs. the run from holland to port sheldon those 2 felt much better. in port sheldon we had the formula there with the girls on it. so a small group of us rafted off it. dave wesco joined us for a while also. our 2 from NC needed to get back sooner then the rest of us so dave asked if they would like a ride back to holland on endangered species with him and jody. of course they jump on that and dave even let one of them take over driving from jody. saw a lot of old friends, and big thanks to paul for taking such great pic's that pete would be proud of.
