Warpath!

Different boat... I remember three blond haired dudes getting in the boat and the deck(on land) at FT Apache shaking like hell. It was a triple, if I remember, but, wouldn't stake my life on it.
...

I'm not completely sure which boat you mean, but that guy, or "those guys", owned the one that had purple & teal. I only know this, because I watched the one with the brightest blond hair SMACK the pier in KW Harbor at the 2001 KW Poker Run, while I "tried" to help him tie up. I had sympathy, since the boat did have crash boxes, and didn't want to idle.....but DAMN did he hit that pier hard. :leaving:

Funny...I just saw them pull out of Ft Apache. What year was that?

The year I saw him & the boat, and the incident I mentioned, was 2001 in KW.

That's the only time I've seen the boat running, with someone in it. I've seen it a couple of other random times, but it's been on the trailer.

I saw the boat in,my best guess, 1987...
Sure it's the same boat? 3 man race set up?

I'm pretty sure?

I remember it well, because I'd seen the boat in a magazine before, and couldn't believe I was standing a few feet away from it in KW. It did have the race cockpit, with blue/teal colored seats. The driver was BLOND headed, and not from the USA. It would have to literally be his twin brother AND boat, if this isn't the same guy/boat. :bump:

So Rutger Hauer had an Apache back in the day :sifone:?

Any pics?

Lucy do you have any pictures of the Keith Eickert motors with mechanical fuel injection from the early Apache race boats (I believe they were 500ci)?
Offtopic.
I know of one at least brand new in the crate...
I could sometime go and take pics of it for you ?
Just tell me how detailed you need?

Would like to see for historical purposes so the photos don't need to be too detailed. That would be great if you could get those shots!! :)

Can we maybe start a thread for the 41 pleasure Apache list? And 36s to.

I have thought about this for a while, but the only other boats I can see completing a list for would be the 47's as there are not many of those boats. A 36' list or a pleasure 41' list would take a lot of time, the 41' list was far from easy to put together, but I would be happy to help if someone wants to take the point :USA:
