Warpath!

You mean you don't like the "Crayola" jobs as I always put it?

This is not meant to offend others but I'm kinda with you on that.

The new paint jobs are just too bright and flashy for me.. It's like someone opened a crayola box and started picking out colors. Plus, they always have to be "touched up" because people who actually use their boats are bound to have a few rubs. ;)

I always like a timeless classic paint-job. If I had to buy a boat today I might go all white or with a solid color. I really liked the Top Gun with the white deck and burgandy sides, I though it was sharp!:driving:

I guess it's all about personal preference though and that's what makes the world go around!.

Amen to that. On some of these new boats it looks like someone threw up in technicolor.

correct and agreed...and Like I always said..nothing beats black boat...

Technicolor is nice..but a throw up....oh boy...
I just warmed soup in my micro and forgot it there a little bit too long...:sifone:

And I gotta correct the above... nothing beats a good housekeeper...

no, and I am in one of the most prestige Marinas in the world according with this Chinese!! lots of big yachts,!!!:seeya: but I told them about APACHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:26:

what you got back as an answer...a Blank ?
Like I do with the Team Warpaint T overhere.

I mean people know powerboats..and think fountain baja or scarab and that´s it.

nothing beats black boat...

My last boat was black and I'll never do it again.. I had way too many blisters from the hot deck, the ladies didn't like the heat either. When I would come off-plane sweat would immediately start dripping from my forehead! We didn't sit still much in that boat. :leaving:

The Apache is white on white and it doesn't get very hot at all! :)

Then there's the scientific aspect of a black boat with fading and its strength deteriorating over time due to extreme surface temps! ;)

I'll agree that it looked awesome! when it was clean it was sharp as heck!! :)

IMO the kid should have a round or to in the ring to get his head screwed on right... LOL.
I "hate" these paint jobs that looks like a paint stand has fallen over a boat...

Well, in case you missed it, this is what the boat looked like before it was painted....

Yea, I can appreciate the boat paint for the work that went into it. And in person, it is nice work. But I agree (funny since my boat looks like a crayola box threw up all over it too!!). I really like the solid colors and really like the darker color'd sides offset by a lighter colored deck look. I think that's the look I'm going for next if the boat doesn't sell.

And trust me, no ones comments on here is going to ruin an ebay sale on that boat....It needed some SERIOUS love! Like I said, a buddy drove 6 hours to buy it and passed. No good.

Tank,
In the second pic the boat looks great with the skyline behind. Sorry for not giving you credit for the photos when I posted them, but I just saved them off the internet years ago. :)

Oh no, I wasn't looking for credit. I was only giving update and info on the boat. Plus it's kind've odd to be flipping through threads and see pics you took. Especially ones you took 8 years ago!:sifone:

I agree with you on the colors.
I've always refered to it as a box of 64 Crayola's left next to the stove.:)

I agree solid colors.
I have plans for mine to have a white deck, and Charcoal gray hullsides. Very simple, very classic.
I do have to say, the way they "ghosted" in the Apache name on the side of that boat looks great - I'm considering doing that on the Pantera.

Rainbow express. I never really liked the paint on that one or the Fountain either. It was nice in the 90's, out of date now but that's just my opinion, sorta like the Pink in my indian head!

Diversity is what makes the world go around so it's all good!:driving:
