Interesting, I never knew that became starchaser.. I met the new owner Eric last year and ran with him for a bit on the NYC poker run. The boat was converted to #6's and has some big hp NA engines.
The boat was stripped of everything but the two forward fuel tanks. The #6 speed-masters trim tabs and four fuel tanks came with the hull. Engines are Injected 598ci and dyno at 890 hp on 93 octane fuel, boat has run 102 on gps with 100+ gallons of fuel. Eric did a fantastic job with the boat!!
Are you guys sure about the Apache team boat and Starchaser, was it repainted??? The indian head on the team boat is bigger than Starchaser, the nickels are different and so is Apache on the engine hatch.
I believe Starchaser was owned by Ed Toth when it was racing.

It was, we noticed it as well and commented as we were running. I actually think the drives might be too high. I believe they used the same X dimension as Alez Vite. When he would accelerate past us you would hear the RPMS raise up then it would start taking off a second or two later.
Anyway, once he would start going faster, say about 75 mph, the boat flew flat/level. At 60 mph it had a definite hop, maybe it just needed a little tab but I wasn't on the boat so I have no idea.
