Wanted donor hull

Looking for a donor hull for my twin Bravo/454 packages in about a 31 (I also have a solid trailer good to 34ish feet)
Im not affraid of a full reupholster but would rather not get nickle and dimed to death on a ton of missing hardware so something just missing engines/drives and maybe a dated interior would be ideal. Prefer Scarabs Fountains Cigs etc Prefer Bravo cutouts but for the right boat will do a transom if needed
I'd entertain a really bare hull only if it was super soild and didnt need any glass/paint work(those are a dime a dozen)

Any ideas or thoughts, leads would be apreciated.

This is going to be interesting. :D
I have thought about this quite a bit because my power is new and the boat is old. :D :o
When it's time to move up, I dam well may throw some take outs in the 28 and sell it for market price... and keep my power. :D

I also wonder whether it would be worth getting something with pooched power but working drives. (Rather than empty bilge) I have seen great (looking....everything is suspect) hulls with power and drives intact but the owner doesn't like the cost/benefit ratio of new mills and the labor. A heck of a large part of the boat buying public does not read any farther than "engines need to be rebuilt."

If you can get a hull with no power or drives even in the boat for say... just throwing a number, 5 grand; but you could get a comparable boat with blown up or tired out power and a complete set of drives, exhausts, transom brackets, trim ram arms.... you name it for like 15... in the long run that may work in your favor. Any problem parts along the way and you have two on the shelf. Of course you probably wouldn't re-use couplers or something, but plenty of stuff you would. Heck, trim pumps alone would be worth having around.
Just thoughts. Good luck. I'll bet you get some leads.

Apreciate the tips guys. I do want somewhat of a bare bones cabin at the least so the race stuff while super cool isnt what Im really seeking.

I have been searching jaxed, search tempest, ebay, craigs etc so have seen a few of those boats already but not all so keep the suggestions coming. At the moment that Sonic catches my eye as its the same length as what im replacing, just dont really need another trailer etc It has one weird set of seats tho????

I thought it was, I was hoping he'd finish it and go racing.....

Talked to him the other day, and he just doesn't have the time right now - real busy with his kids (surprisingly, he's quite the family man, and he's got a great wife and kids).
Not to mention, storage in his area (Huntington Beach, CA) is like uber-expensive. He'd rack up storage bills the value of the boat if it was any extended period of time.
Sucks.
I was really looking forward to running with him in that boat:willy_nilly:

Maybe you should have two........:sifone:

But your garage is huge and it only needs one engine. :)

yeah, but you know I'm trying to offload one of the boats now for a road toy...
I'll need to install a lift in the garage just to keep both trucks, the boat, and the new toy all in the garage...

You don't need to put them in the garage. You're in the desert where it doesn't rain, so no mold issues.:D

And you can tie a couple rattlers to the trailer as watch dogs......:26::03::26:

The yard seems well, firm. I know a guy who sells lifts. ;)

Screw the car. I'll adopt that cruiser.
