Thanks has already been given to one contributor, but I would like to recognize Serious Offshore Charter Member BOATME who was the Promoter for the "Smoke On The Water" Poker Runs that has painstakingly taken his time over the last 11 months + in uploading Videos to Youtube and posting them here on Serious Offshore to help everyone get through the down time of boating.

Marc,

I know that is no easy task as I have made and uploaded many Videos myself.
I thank you for your efforts in providing your videos for the good of the sport. It was one run I truly wished I had made it to and just kept putting it off... :(
I learned my lesson, there may not always be a next year... :(

I think you have the Poker Run stuff covered really well and if I need to go back in time to watch the big dogs of offshore, I look no further than our very own T2x, Darren Luhrs & Dave P's BIG SEAS Productions as they really caught the action LIVE with T2x's commentary. He makes you feel you are right beside him in the chopper.:cheers2:

So my hat is off to all of you video guys that preserve the history of this sport...

After numerous requests for me to do video, I certainly cannot rule it out that it might be something I do in the future...

Thanks to everyone that takes the time to upload to YOUTUBE and share their videos with us.

Cool stuff Tim I did not know you were running nas navigator on shockwave

Yes indeed.

I started in a D-Class 30 ft Shadow Cat called Apollo II . The afternoon the boat had flipped in Barnegat Bay during a race, landed right side up and the crew ended up finishing the race the owner asked me that afternoon if I would like to Navigate. I said, "Sure ! What are the chances of it flipping again.... " ;)

The boat was retired after Key West in 1987 and then I was picked up in Atlantic City by Shock Wave for which I Navigated for several years racing against the best there was: Joe Sgro, Peter Meyer, Art Lilly and many others It was a great class back in the day.... :cheers2:

If you do the video......I might know someone who could do the talking!
T2x

Yeah, I figured the Single Thread Format people would enjoy more... Makes it easier to follow...

If I get an announcer they will need to know how to pronounce Langbein....

Hint: It does not rhyme with Caribbean...:ack2:
