It was for sale a few years ago. I saw it only once at Grand Haven in '85. I don't think it came off the trailer that weekend.

Big Red was made of wood. But so was Gentry's 48 Cougar. Ah- the old days.

Just remembered..I met my good buddy Art Lilly in a 30 named Blondie. She went 87mph back in the early 80's . Not many could even talk about going that fast then. ... man o man the good times we had.

I believe the boat in your picture was an outboard boat, which was used in some of the earliest literature. The Joker 22 had stock Merc 200's with crescent gearcases only, due to class rules at the time, and ran right at 80 mph.
