Dubai request for debt 'standstill' raises fear

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Just a year after the global downturn derailed Dubai's explosive growth, the city is now so swamped in debt that it's asking for a six-month reprieve on paying its bills — causing a drop on world markets Thursday and raising questions about Dubai's reputation as a magnet for international investment.

This could go either way for us.Asia is down big time Europe is sure to follow but the dollar is down so we may be flat tommorrow.May is the key word though could be a very wild open.

I heard this am that Dubai is looking at a short fall on repaying 60 billion in debt due soon.
They have gone hat in hand to the Saudis for coin. NOT GOOD. Just think of how that whole scenario can be used and twisted to support the radical Muslim viewpoint.

UAE is very progressive for a Muslim state and look where that got them. Now they are just like the West. Broke, in debt and no money to pay for their consumeristic sins against Allah.
They have come to grovel for money to pay for their mistakes. We, the Saudis will bail them out if they agree to be more like us and less like the West.


Scary thought right there.

Just checked and I am up 29.9% this year. Still have money over at my other company that I haven't checked on in a while...really need to roll that over into my current plan.
