Two injured in Boyne Thunder boating accident And Updates

JJ, you are absolutely correct.

A red marker buoy was found and is in custody. It does have obvious impact damage. The marker supposedly belongs to one of the marinas up there which used it as a marker for sailboat races.

We will try to keep everybody up to date as more info comes in. However, I'm sure the insurance companies and police will keep this a bit close to the vest as to what is going on behind the scenes.

Thanks JJ, we had not heard yet.

Blow boaters...

:(

Hope it can be figured out and never happen again !!

In one of the most ironic instances I can ever recall. Those who stopped to help with everybody at the Boyne accident and took Sarah to shore, spun out and got hurt the following week in the 1000 Islands Poker Run.

One was thrown out of the boat. The kids stayed in the boat.

The one tossed is severely bruised, but no broken bones. The driver has a couple cracked ribs and also has contusions.

I guess sometimes bad things happen to really good people.:(

Wow no kidding! Thanks for the update Paul.

Glad they at least found what it was and (to some degree) put everyone's minds at ease. The whole situation is a bummer, however, luckily no one was hurt. Like you said, I'm sure from here on out the situational details will probably remain behind closed doors. Ironically, the information about the buoy came from an insurance agent friend of mine over on the west side of the state. If he lends anymore information, I'll report back.

In talking with Mike, he believes that because his Lifeline Vest was on he did not get bruised very badly at all. I'll do some more research on that.
